"My 2 1/2 year old is afraid of the dark. This is great because he can sleep with it and turn it on by himself. When he gets scared he can take it with him when he comes into our room at night."

Love this nightlight!

"I love the timing/dimmer feature on this light. When it is time to put the baby down, I turn on the timer and by the time it's off, he's sound asleep. It is also useful when he wakes up before its daylight. It's not too bright that hurts my eyes when I turn it on."

Good idea but better for older kids

"I bought this for my 2 year old son and my 3 year old nephew. They both went crazy for it at first but my son eventually got tired of it. It was kind of bright in his room at night and he wouldn't sleep when he had it in his crib, so we had to limit the amount of time he used it. My nephew, though, loved it! He still uses it and adores it."

traveling night light

"Our kids love this light! We use this at home and for traveling. It has made sleeping in the tent comforting and as well at other homes that our kids are not use to. The 15 minute setting shut-off works perfect so that it is not on all night.
The only thing that went wrong is the tiny screw for the batteries was in so tight that it when trying to open it, it got stripped. Land Of Nod paid for shipping for the return and is sending us a new one for the baby! No problems!!!"

"I got these for my kids because I liked that when they had to get up in the night, they could take the light with them. It has been wonderful. My kids like to have them on till they go to sleep and the timer turns them off so I do not need to go turn it off. They are easy for the kids to turn on and off and set the timer. Plus they are really fun and modern."

Great, but...

"This nightlight is great - it has the perfect amount of light for a nightlight - not too bright, not too dull...Kid friendly shape...The only problem I had (and this is b/c of my very energetic 2 year old) is that it is made of such a hard plastic - my toddler has trouble settling down, and likes to kick the wall with her feet - now that she has this nightlight, she also likes to bash it against the wall - which is very loud!!! especially for her little brother in the next room! We found a rubber like one (that makes less noise when thrown at the wall) at another store, so she now has that one, and we use this one in our infant's room!"

"I use this light for nighttime feedings for my infant son. It allows me to see what I'm doing while feeding and diaper changing overnight but allow him to stay half asleep while I'm doing it. This means he gets to fall back asleep much quicker, and so do I!"

Absolute Necessity For Bedtime In Our Home!

"I must confess I bought this product becuase I thought it was super cute... I was so surprised by how much our three year old loves it! He doesn't go to bed now without it. Now we need to order another one for our little guy who is going to be turning two. The neat little timer feature is a lifesaver, turning itself off after the child falls asleep. It's been dropped countless times and even has been flung across the room and it still works perfectly. Love it!"

Really helped our child go to sleep at night

"We were having a lot of trouble getting our 3 1/2 year old daughter to go sleep at night without the hall light or bathroom light on. This product has changed our bedtime routine dramatically. Now, our daughter is excited to go to sleep and use her little "light friend" to read her books before she goes to sleep. No more hall lights or bathroom lights at nighttime. It also doesn't disturb our other daughter who shares the room. Definitely recommend this product! In fact, I just bought it as a baby gift for a friend who just had his first child."

New little friend

"We bought the blue Tykelight for our two year old son and he immediately loved it. He found a new little friend to "talk" to and to play with, Good thing that he is willing to let go of his new buddy and fall asleep. The only down side that we can see is that the light, even in the dimmer mode is a little too bright, it is not bright enough to prevent our son from sleeping. Probably, for a bigger room this might be just perfect. Anyway, we are happy with this product."
