No major boundary changes in four years.
"As far as we know, the borders on this globe, which we bought over four years ago, are still accurate.
Which is great, because we love this globe. It is an integral part of my son's room. We used the low light to guide us to our son's crib after he was born. Now our nearly-four year old uses it to track vacation and daddy-business-trip destinations....It's also super handy for keeping monsters away."

Wonderful addition for a bedroom
"This globe is fabulous. I was a little intimidated by the price, but could not be happier I spent the money. It is sturdy and nice quality, has good colors, provides just the right amount of light in a dark room, and is a wonderful way to explore the world with children at bedtime."

Beautiful lamp, not much of a globe
"As the title suggests, this is a beautiful lamp and decorative piece, but I bought this in hopes of teaching my kids about geography, and it doesn't cut it. First, the type is really small and busy, so it's hard to read. In addition, the globe doesn't really rotate well, and the base is too light to keep it weighted, so we wound up toppling it all the time. Depending on what you want it for, this may or may not be for you."

Love it!
"We currently use this instead of a lamp in my son's room (15-months-old). It's beautiful and he loves playing with it. My husband and I are from different parts of the word and we have family spread all over, so after seeing people on skype it's fun to point out where they live and talk about what it's like there. And while we know that he's a bit young, we look forward to teaching him all about the world over the years."

great educational piece!
"we homeschool here and i was looking for a globe to add to our classroom! i was happy to find this one! i love the pewter base over the common plastic one! the glow it gives off in our classroom is great and inviting for the children! would highly recommend this globe!"

Design could be tweaked.
"Overall I like this product. Haven't closely examined the geographical details yet, but it works as "winding-down-for-bedtime" light. Emits a gentle, pleasing light. My one design qualm is the placement of the electrical cord. It seems awkward coming out of the globe itself. To have designed it with the cord emerging from the base would have been more practical and aesthetically pleasing."

Beautiful Globe!
"I purchased this for my son's room. I was a bit skeptical about spending so much and paying the shipping, but I'm so glad I did. The colors are outstanding when lit at night (it makes the perfect nightlight for my son). The designers did a really nice job of coordinating the blues, salmon and oranges. The base looks very nice as well. If you are looking for an illuminated globe decorate your child's room with this will not disappoint. I'm so glad I purchased this. Hope this helps."

"We really love our Globe light. It's both practical and educational. Our son is three and can identify North America, South America, and Europe! It also provides a very soft glow for a night light."

Great For All Ages
"I purchased this for my great granddaughers ages 2 and 5. Their dad is in the miilitary and will soon be deployed again. I thought they would enjoy seeing exactly where he is at and all of the different places they have been. The entire family is enjoying the beautifully made globe."

Light up your kid's world!
"I bought this lamp just prior to the birth of my fourth son. I love it so much - it casts a super serene glow over his whole nursery. It provides enough light to read a book by, but not so much light that it wakes him if I need to turn on a light in the night. Now that he's nearing two, he loves to point to all the countries and we talk about all the places he might visit some day. I'd definitely buy this one again!"

"I got this for my son's first birthday. It looks great in his room and is the perfect nightlight! My older children love it too. They love showing me where we live and where China is etc. It's a fantastic looking room addition and a learning tool as well."

Great for Nursery

Gorgeous lamp!
"This lamp is gorgeous. I did my kids' room in a geography theme and this lamp looks so awesome in there! I'd seen lamps like this through other retailers, but I didn't feel they were done as nicely. The colors on this one are so natural and fun and the metal on the base is a beautiful subdued dark gray color. Doesn't take away from the globe."
