Fun but not functional
"My 3yo son loves his "digger" but we don't like that it can't actually scoop up anything without assistance. It doesn't move that well on carpet. With that said, he still plays with it almost everyday (we've had it for 2 months now) and it is the most popular toy when friend's visit."

"My son can't get enough of the Excavator Ride On! He is a big fan of trucks and already owns the Fiiretruck Ride On (which doubles nicely as a Zambonie in his eyes), but this is his favorite."

Cute but not sturdy
"We were so excited to give this to our boys for Christmas. My husband assembled it and the boys were thrilled when they saw it. However, the sides of the bucket came off after 2-3 days because it is held on by very tiny screws which were stripped and couldn't be put back together. My husband had to glue it back together with wood glue and clamp, but it's never worked right. The bucket is loose and doesn't scopp anything. A real shame because this is a great idea."

Almost perfect, but not quite
"We bought this excavator for our son's third birthday. He absolutely loves it. It is a great size for a three year old and he loves operating it. In every way but one it is his dream toy-- The only problem is that the scoop of this excavator can't really scoop anything. How frustrating, how sad! The angle just isn't right. It is impossible to scoop items (such as small wooden blocks) into the bucket. If you manually fill the scoop (this usually means momma sitting on the floor painstakingly filling the scoop for many loads), it is impossible to operate the "controls" such that the items don't fall out as soon as you lift the boom. My son loves the toy, but it takes lots of parental interaction for him to actually be able to move anything at all with it. My husband is working on figuring out a "fix"-- If he finds one, I'll post it, but for now I am stuck filling the bucket of this toy for my son, over and over and over again. I still gave it 4 stars, because my son absolutely adores it."
