"I actually had my own Sophie as a baby and every baby in our family has had one of their own thanks to our French roots. Both my girls have their own and I always give Sophie out for baby gifts.
I have never come across a baby who hasn't grown attached to their Sophie. This simple toy satisfies all five senses: contrasting colors and an identifiable face; a squeaky sound to attract attention; ears, horns, and legs (even nose and neck) to chew on; soft, smooth, and flexible for little fingers; even a distinctive (pleseant) smell! This toy will be around at least another 60 years. I recommend this to every mother!"

Must Have Teether Toy

"I recently bought this for my 5 1/2 month old daughter. She just loves it. I have bought all sorts of teethers and none of them compare to this one. Sophie the Giraffe stands out as top teether on our list. A must have for every new mom. It is the only teether that I have found that my daughter can actually get in her mouth to reach her back gums. The only problem that I have with this toy is trying to keep it away from our dog who just goes crazy when she hears the squeeky sound. I guess the whole family is happy with this toy."

"I bought this for my daughter and I so wish I had gotten it for my other 2 when they were babies! This really was her "first toy" and she carried it everywhere. Plus it helped w/teething so much and is super cute and sweet to boot! I will be getting this for anyone I know having a baby!"

"As far as teething toys go, this one's pricey, and I almost talked myself into getting something cheaper, but after seeing my friend's 3-month-old going to town on her hoof, I decided little Sophie was worth every penny. My son is 2.5 months, and as soon as I handed him this cute giraffe, he grabbed her and started chomping on her hind leg like there was no tomorrow. Not all toys are drawn to his tiny gums as if by magnetic force, but she certainly was (and is every time I hand her to him). He loves her because of her high contrast, soft feel, and squeaky, gummy goodness. I love her because she's made from all natural rubber and food safe dyes, and I know I don't have to worry because, as long as he's slobbering all over this lovely French toy, he's got something in his mouth that won't hurt him. Every baby needs one."

"Sophie was a great addition to our teething toys.The price tag concerned me, however, the toy is made of soft material and is adorable. It also makes a cute sqweek ! It is a great toy to take on outings, as it can be easily washed if needed."

"I had a hard time paying the $23. for a teething toy for fear that it would be thrown into the toy box unused like all the other teething toys we have. But no! My girl likes it! In fact, every time she sees it she smiles and she plays with it and chews on it every day. I have recommended to lots of others as a great teething toy. Believe the hype -- it really is a great toy!"

"Each of my two daughters have enjoyed gumming away at this awesome giraffe teether. They especially love chewing on its legs.
I love it because it is colored with vegetable dye and is completely safe and sturdy enough to chew on. It is also easy to clean.
You can even stick it into the refrigerator to cool down sore gums."

"I love this teether toy. It is just the right size for my 4 mth old granddaughter's chubby hands. She can easily grab it by the neck,head or feet. It makes the cutest squeak. In this age of toy recalls I appreciate that is safe for her to put in her mouth (no lead paint or other metals) It washes up easily in soap and water also. I think I'll have to get one for her 16mth old brother too!"
