Fun for the whole family
"We are big fans of Melissa and Doug in our house and this toy is by far one of our favorites. Our son loves music and will take out his band in a box and bring each of us an instrument to play together. The instruments have held up very well and been well LOVED."

Good Noisy Fun
"My son LOVES this music set. He is younger than the recommended age, so some of the instruments are a little advanced. But the basic cymbals, drum and maracas are a perfect way to get him bouncing to the beat."

Move over Partridge Family...
"There's a new band in town! Santa brought this for Christmas and it's great for the whole family. Especially on rainy days when we are looking for non-tv activities with the kids. Great for children of all ages. My 4 yr old and 10 month old jam out with mom & dad all the time!"

Great for little hands
"My 2 year old daughter received this as a gift and has had a terrific time with it. The instruments are just the right size for little hands. It comes in a wooden box for storage (althogh the box has no lid, which would have been nice)."

Great Set!
"My son loves music, and this was his introduction to having instruments at home. They are good quality-we've had them for 18 months and they're still in great shape after lots of use. And, there are enough to share with friends and siblings to make a band!"

Handed down to No. 2
"We received this for a gift and our daughter (now 31/2) has had so much fun with it. Our two year old son has discovered it recently and loves to make "music" with his sister. These are very well made and stand the test of time and LOTS of play! We have baby number 3 on the way and anticipate he'll still be enjoying these in a few years, too! As with everything we've ever gotten from Land of Nod, this is well-made and great for kids!"

Start a parade!

They still love 'em!
"I bought this for my kids last Christmas... or maybe the Christmas before... and they all still play with them! They love to "make a band". Very sturdy too. That tambourine has been punched, stepped on and poked at and is still in tact!"

Music Time!
"My daughter loves this Band in a Box. She's had it for 2 years and still enjoys it. I'm always a fan of wooden and metal toys that last...These instruments have definitely done just that. After having had music at her preschool, she would lead "Music Class" with me and her dolls and teach rhythms and beats and would sometimes march around like a band w/ her friends. Even two years later, she breaks a few instruments out and plays them while listening to a CD. Great, fun quality and good for creativity."

So much fun
"My sister gave this kit to my kids one year for christmas. We all love it. They can play alone or have bands with their friends. It's also fun for parades. It's very high quality compared to other play instruments we've encountered. I highly recommend it."

Beautiful music
"I bought this for my daughter who absolutely loves it. The one disappointment is that the maracas hardly make any noise. I had to buy different ones for her to shake."

Very fun and noisy :)
"This a pretty good product. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that if the instruments get abused... and they will they begin to break down over time. We have had this for about 4 1/2 years now. several of the pieces have been broken because they have been played to death. But I still think it is pretty good quality. Honestly, you can only expect something that is supposed to be banged, shaken and crashed to last so long."

It's Music Time!
"My toddler seemed to really enjoy making music, so we decided to buy this for her this past Christmas (2011).
She loved it from the moment she opened it and plays with it in some capacity almost on a daily basis.
My only "complaint" if you will, is the string that comes attached to the triangle. It comes of easily (no matter how hard you tie a knot) and has gotten lost several times, so I took it off completely. You can still play the triangle without it but it's not totally the same.
Love the storage box that it comes in as well. Makes clean up really easy. Melissa & Doug has many great products and this is certainly one of them."

Love it!
"We love this set. The minute my son opened it I knew it was going to be a hit. He loves the triangle and the cymbals the best because they make the loudest noise:) but he also plays with the rest of the instruments, especially when I play them with him! This is a perfect set for any young musician. And, it comes with the perfect box to store it in! I love all of Mellisa and Doug products for that."

"I ordered this for my grandson, but he received another one from a family member. It was $29.00, but cost me $10.00 to ship it back for a refund. No more Land of Nod for me."
