"I bought a four of these to put over each child's bed (on bunk beds). This way my kids have books assessible even when on the top bunk. They work well. They store just enough books for a special bedtime story time."

Sturdy, Functional, Versatile

"The Bin There Done That book bin shelving is very well-made. I bolted it to the wall above my daughter's kid-sized desk instead of using a hutch. We use it to corral her library books, to keep them separate from her owned books, to keep them accessible, and to just generally have a place for them that is organized yet open so that we can find them easily when it's time to return them. The open design encourages my daughter to read the books. Although it has a shallow profile, we always manage to cram a lot of picture books in there. Perfect for the kid who loves books."

"Great purchase for the bedtime readers. Quickly grab a book next to the rocker and we are all set to go. Very sturdy. It is great for children because it makes them attentive to the books in the room on the wall."

Decent Shelf for the price

"I ordered bought two of these shelves - one for each of my daughters. I received this one right away, while the second one was on backorder. I think LoN must have switched distributors on this product or something because the 2nd one I received later was simply a much better product. The included mounting materials in this one are not high quality, and the shelf is not stable, it has fallen off the wall a few times. I will be replacing the mounting hardware with something more durable. Other than that, I love it! Perhaps it is because I got the older model of this, but unlike what others have said, the honey finish is a true honey color and matches the honey pine furniture in the bedroom very well."

HONEY is not as shown

"I was very disappointed when I opened the box and realized the color HONEY does not match what is shown. I would say it is more a Walnut finish...fairly dark. I bought 2 of these bins to go with a set of Honey bunks. The bins do not match at all. The bins do hold a good amount of books and even a night light....I just wish the color was more accurate.

"I bought this book shelf before my youngest was born and hung it beside the rocker a couple of feet above the floor. As an infant I would rock him in the chair and books were easily accesible. As he started walking, the shelf was low enough he could reach it to pull books out to look at. Now he's in a big boy bed and we've hung the shelf right beside his bed so after we're done reading bedtime stories he can still look at books as he's falling asleep. We have definitely gotten a lot of use out of this shelf. I can see using it for years to come, it's versatile and attractive. One thing that I couldn't tell from the picture when I purchased this shelf, is that the back is open... when it's hung on a wall, the wall becomes the back. Not a big deal, I had just imagined it with a back. The shelf itself actually holds more books than what I thought it would, which was a nice surprise. It'll hold about 15 average size picture books very nicely. I give it a two thumbs up!"

"We purchased this book bin to go along with the honey activity table (which we love), and the color and wood grain are not even close. We assumed since we were purchasing both from the same company and they're both HONEY they would match, but that is not the case. It's a nice book bin, but the color isn't what we were expecting or hoping for."

"This is exactly what I was looking for and couldn't find anywhere else. I bought one for each child and mounted them over their beds. Perfect place to keep library books together plus whatever their current favorites are. No more books on the floor and dressers after bedtime. My children were so excited to pick out and arrange their books in them.
They are well-made and attractive. They were very easy to hang. I would buy more in a heartbeat. Excellent investment."

"I bought 2 of the book bins for our playroom and I hung one above the other - one for the older children, and one for the younger. I was very surprised at how well they are made and how many books they hold. The bins will last for many years, plus having a special spot for books in grandma's playroom will make reading even more special!"

"just installed my shelf and i love it. very easy to do on your own plus the tape that comes with it is a nice additon to do it yourself. i looked for this type of shelf almost in every children's furniture store and this was the only one that fits my requirements (not too big, fits enough books, easy to install and a very nice antique color)."

Perfect for the nursery!

"This bookcase is exactly what I was looking for to go on the wall next to a rocking chair in the room that will eventually become a nursery. I'm looking forward to using it to display some "books of the day" and have my future child select which books to display in the bin to be read during that day or before going to bed. I can just imagine how relaxing it will be to sit in the rocker and have the books right on the wall next to me to select from. Plus, the bin allows the great, illustrated book-covers to be visible all day!"

"I had recently purchased a honey colored bunk bed from another retailer. I saw this shelf in your catolog and wondered if it would match? The price made me try it out. I am so glad I did! It matched perfectly and I filled it with my boys space books - to continue theme from the Land of Nod space bedding I recently purhcased. "I ordered this because my child has a bunk bed and no real place to store the books for night-time reading. This shelf is mounted on the wall the bed is up against and provides the perfect spot for putting books away when it is time to go to sleep! The quality of this product is excellent!"
