Beautiful Bed

"We bought this bed for our daughter who was tranistioning from a crib to a "big girl bed." I love the fact that you don't need a boxspring and so it's much closer to the ground. And the detail on the bed is just perfect for a girl- delicate and subtle. We are very please with the quaility and design of this bed and would certainly receommend it to others."

"Maybe our scallops bed was put together incorrectly by the delivery team, but it has a big gap on either side of the mattress, between the mattress and the side frameboards. The mattress and bunkie board slide around all over the place, and stuff falls through. Plus, it looks bad. And after just a few years of use, the wood is cracking where the side frame runners meet the headboard and footboard. So I suppose the delivery team might have done something wrong, though we can not seem to see what the problem might be. We will have to buy our daughter another bed, and we had hoped this one would last.
We did not call for a return because we already had to have our son's dresser returned due to damage, and I didn't feel like dealing with it. I thought we could fix it, but we were unable to."

"We got this bed last year for Xmas, and are extremely happy with it still. Every girl that visits just loves the furniture (my daughter is 3, and her babysitters are all jealous of it), it's girlish and special without being over the top. Now only if I had furniture in my room as nice as my daughter has!!!! One thing--man oh man do I wish I had bought the trundle while it would have qualified for the flat rate shipping, word to the wise..."

the bed is pretty but so low!

"My three year old daughter does sleep well in her big girl bed, but I think it is a bit low and find the construction of the bed not as well made as a bed my sister bought from land of nod years ago. I am going to keep the bed but I am disappointed. Under the mattress there are staple gunned planks, it worries me because I know I want to keep the bed for a very long time and feel that the quality will not hold up through the years."

Sits too Low!

"I am not a fan of how low this bed sits to the ground. It looks strange to me and needs some height. I tried it with a box spring hoping that would look better, but then it looks too high! Anyone have any ideas? I might have our carpenter adjust the side rails to make it look better. Hoe Hum..."

Twin bed with trundle

"We bought this twin bed and the optional trundle. The bed is lovely and my girl likes it. The trundle is just a white frame and it doesn't have matching detail as the bed though and they don't seem to go together. I would love if the trundle also contains the scallop detail given we pay quite some extra money for it. Overall, the pieces are very well made and the delivery service was excellent!"

"I just bought this bed. I like it a lot and my kids too. I think it's very nice and not extremely expensive. It seems very durable and resistant. The delivery was very fast, it took only one week with a regular shipment which was a nice surprise. I don't give 5 stars in this review because one of the beds (I ordered two) has a gap between the central paneling and the scalloped details on the headboard and same problem in the footboard. I'm very detail oriented so that bothers me, plus is next to the other bed -which is fine- so the gap is more noticeable. I called to customers service complaining about this concern and they were very nice. They are going to exchange it next week. I let you know if anything goes wrong.

"After looking at many different beds on many different websites, we decided to get the fresh scallops bed. It is solidly built-- very sturdy for a jumpy five year old! The detailing is sweet and after 6 months, it is holding up well. I would deftinitely recommend this bed; it is a good value for a piece of well made furniture."
