Cute But Hard to Hang

"The butterflies themselves are beautiful. If you plan on attaching them to the wall, then you'll have no problems. I'm having the hardest time figuring out how to hang them from the ceiling without it flipping vertical. How do you hang these so they look like they are flying rather than shooting to the moon?"

Nod Note: Thank you for your review. I’m sorry that you’re having difficulty hanging the butterflies. Hopefully the following instructions will be helpful: Hang the butterfly from your ceiling or wall using the included nylon wire. Begin by threading one end of the wire through the outer edge of one wing, securing it to the wire frame of the wing with a double knot. Repeat this step using the other end of the wire on the opposite wing. After securing each end of the wire to the wings, use the resulting "loop" to attach the butterfly to the ceiling or wall using a small nail or hook. The placement of the wire will determine the angle at which your butterfly will fly—the closer to the top of the wing that you position the wire, the more upright the butterfly will hang. You may also choose to adjust the length of the wire to achieve your desired height. If you still have questions, feel free to call Customer Service at (800) 933-9904.

"We bought the blue and green butterflies as accents to our 2yo girl's pink room. They set the tone perfectly, breaking up the pink paint. The color is exactly as shown in the photos. I've seen less expensive versions of these butterflies in the stores, but they are not as pretty. These are worth every penny! Our daughter is so exciited to have butterflies on her wall!

"I decided before I delivered my 1st baby girl, I was in love with the idea of turning her room into a butterfly boutique. I imagined beautiful butterflies hanging from the ceiling over her crib so she had something peaceful to look at while she became comfortable with her room. After looking everywhere, I finally heard about The Land of Nod and was extremely excited when I spotted the Madame Butterflies! I could now give my baby girl a room that I knew she would love and most importantly be comfortable in. She is now 2 1/2 and still adores her "butterfly boutique.""

"These butterflies are terrific, a bit tricky to hang at the right angle but you can play around with the wire a bit and figure it out.

"These Butterflies look soooo good! I saw some people had problems hanging them. I solved this by taking the fishing line, threading it on a needle and going through the top of the wings & tying a knot, then I hung from there. No problem!"

"Our 14 month old loves these butterflies! We purchased 3 of them to hang in her room and couldn't be more pleased. Two hang from the ceiling near her crib and the other flutters over the corner of her closet. They are really pretty, even up close, and the wire frames are easy to manipulate. The hanging part was a bit of a challenge but the hubby and I were still speaking (and laughing) afterward. I think these colorful, fluttery friends will grace her room for a long time."

"I bought two for my daughter's room and hung them from the ceiling by the window. They are perfect. I too had a bit of a hard time at first figuring out how to hang them so they would be horizontal. Turns out I needed to attach one string to the tail and another to the head and adjust the length of each."

"I really llove the look of these butterflies. I only wish there was an easier was to hang them from our ceiling. Did not come with any instructiuons or tips on how to do this and it took two of us quite awhile to get them to hang just right. Once they were up they look great."

"We got these butterflies to hang over our daughter's crib since we can't attach a mobile to her crib. She LOVES these butterflies, and talks to them often. "These are so whimsical and fun! I had been wanting to purchase one of these for some time and finally did about 6 months ago. My daughter just loves looking at it when she wakes up in the morning. I hung it above her crib. It was a little difficult to figure out how to hang it properly from the ceiling, so I called customer service and they were very helpful and I had it hanging properly in just a few minutes!

"My almost-two-year-old daughter LOVES these, and so do I. We have the blue and green butterflies, and while I had planned to hang them in her bedroom, we ended up liking them so much that we hung them in the living room instead.
