Great Book
"I purchased this book at the Land of Nod store before my son was born and started reading it to him every night when he was 1 year old. I love the simplicity of the pictures and the message of the book! My son interacts with it by pointing to Little Pea and now saying the word "pea." It is not overly stimulating for the young ones--a must read!"

Obsessed with this book!
"Little Pea is SUCH a cute story. I read this and the other books in the series (Little Hoot & Little Oink) to my son every night. He's too young to understand them, but I love them! They are charming, funny, and sweet. As a first grade teacher, I know a LOT of children's books, and these ones are definitely some of my favorites to read aloud :)"

Great Humor for Kids
"I loved this book while working full-time as a children's librarian and continue to love it now as a full-time mom. The plot & humor is best for preschool-aged kids and up, but that doesn't stop me from reading it to my 18 month old.
Very fun story about a little pea who just wants to eat vegetables while his parents want him to just eat candy. Kids get a kick out of that idea!

reverse psychology?
"In this story little pea has to eat all of her yucky candy before she can have a yummy dessert: spinach. So far, this story hasn't convinced my son that vegetables are better than candy, but it's a fun read nevertheless."

Can You Find a Cuter Character than Little Pea?
"I had never seen this book before, but came across it while shopping at Land of Nod. The cover illustration caught my eye, and as I read the story (about a picky eater pea who is forced to eat candy for every meal and really wants vegetables), I knew I had to have it. In fact, I loved it so much that I bought a second copy for a friend's kid.
Can't wait to read this to our son!"

If only.......
"Krouse uses wonderful drawings and an engaging story to tell the troubles of little Pea who must eat candy, candy, candy. How much he longs for something other than candy......when he finally makes it through the five, tortuous pieces of candy, he can have dessert........SPINACH!!!!!!! What a fantastic twist!"

Sweetest book!
"I'm not sure who loves this book more, my son or me. What a clever idea - a little Pea who doesn't like to eat sweets! The illustrations are adorable and the Pea family are so cute and silly. It's a great book for us now because our son is going through a "I won't eat anything green" phase now. He does love the baby Pea and laughs when he finally eats all his dinner (candy) and gets to eat SPINACH for dessert! This book is so sweet! Your kids (and you) will love it!"
