Solid, nice bed
"We have the version of this bed with a trundle underneath, and it's a really nice, simple bed, clean lines and a nice wood. The trundle sometimes slides out of alignment, but other than that it's been super sturdy and really great. It's on the pricey side, but most things from land of nod are! I'd recommend it for sure!"

Simply great
"My child will have this bed until they are grown because it is simple, versatile, classic, and real, solid wood. We have the trundle, tall dresser and nightstand as well and love them all."

Love the look but hate the smell
"We received the bedroom set yesterday (bed frame, trundle, chest of drawers) and the smell of lacquer is so overpowering, we had to move our son out of his bedroom. It's still as pungent more than 24 hours later. That's a huge inconvenience and very disappointing, especially when you consider the price tag. I called customer service and while polite, they weren't very helpful. They told me the smell was from the stain and should dissipate in a week and if not, to call them back. So now my son will have to sleep in our room for a week so the $1,400 furniture set can occupy his bedroom while offgassing.
Aside from this huge drawback, the set is beautiful, the color perfect. It looks like it's sturdy and the classic look and color should last our son from the toddler years to pre-teens. I also purchased a bedroom set for my daughter, which was painted white, rather than stained, and it doesn't have the same smell problem so I am considering exchanging the set for a white instead. If not for the horrid smell, I would have given this product 5 stars.
A note worth mentioning: The trundle bed requires you to purchase the Simmons trundle mattress from Land of Nod as it is a non-standard size. I only later saw a review mention that issue so now we have to order the mattress separately."

"Bed is a handsome piece of furniture, sturdy and well-built. Slats are screwed in, so they don't shift when making the bed. Delivery was fast, free, and included set-up. All packing was removed. Very pleased with all aspects of purchase, including friendly customer service staff."

Beautiful and well made
"I searched high and low to find a quality bed made of beautiful wood and clean lines. Nothing else came close to the Natural Simple Bed. I love looking at it every time I walk in my toddler's room - she loves it too (she thinks it is a present from the delivery men who put it together)!"

Great for the long term
"Bought the full size and it will stay with my son through the years. Color is a light honey natural and it's a very classic look. Using rails with it for now. He loves it!"

beautiful and sturdy
"I bought 2 for my daughters with the thought that they may become bunk beds and should last until they go to college. They are very attractive, sturdy. The only down side is the safety sticker in glaringly visible on the frame, at the foot of the bed. It would have been nice to have it placed less conspicuously."

Well made and well loved
"Great looking bed that can hold up to the abuse my 8-year-old boy dishes out. I recommend using a box spring otherwise it is a little low and stiff. We expect this bed to last him a long time."

Good bed
"Sturdy bed, simple design. We bought the entire bedroom set and are very pleased. Only thing is the wood seems to be somewhat soft. It doesn't really scratch up but nicks/indentations easier than I'd like. Still looks great though over all and we've had it for 3 years now."

Appropriately Named
"This bed's design is simple and clean...exactly what we wanted for our son's room. It is very sturdy, and because it does not need a box spring, sits low to the ground - perfect for our 3-year-old. I know this quality piece will be used in our house for years to come. The delivery and set-up service was excellent."

Beautiful Bed
"I just purchased this bed in espresso and it is beautiful. One of my favorite features is that the bed allows enough room that, when placed against a wall, you can still make the bed easily. We did not buy it at the time, but we are going to order the trundle as well. It is such high quality."

A Good Buy
"We bought this furniture collection (beds, nightstands, tall dressers & trundles) for 2 of our boys (aged 4.5 and 3) and they love it.
The furniture is solid and looks good and the bed is very comfortable to sleep in.
My only negative is that some of the drawers don't run very well on their tracks and they have to be 'jiggled' a bit to close. They have been like this since we got them so it's not from mis-use."

Solid Construction
"We bought the bed and the trundle for our 3 year-old daughter. She loves it and so do we! It is well made and I'm hoping will last through her teenage years. The trundle is a great addition for sleepovers. (The guys who assembled the bed were great too!)"

Great Bed
"We bought this bed for our 8 yr. old son and knew we needed a bed that was sturdy. The slats that support the mattress roll out the entire length of the bed so there is great support. The bed doesn't move when you shake the ends like some other beds we looked at in furniture stores. It went together very easily too, not difficult at all for us to do ourselves. This is the kind of bed we will be able to give to our grandkids. Love it!"

The Best Simple Bed
"We got this bed for my 3-yr. old son and he absolutely loves it. We decided to get this bed instead of a toddler bed and haven't regretted our decision.
