"This placemat functions as expected as a placemat and it's cute, bright and personalized, but I've really enjoyed how much my 7 year old is learning from it! Out of nowhere, during dinner, I'll hear, "Mom, Sacramento is the capitol of California" or "I didn't know that Alaska was so big." Great product!"

"My 2 year olds love this placemat-it washes up beautifully and they love having their names on it. Very gentle on my wood table-doesn't scratch like other placemats we have used. They love pointing out where their Papa and grandma live too."

Cool Idea, But Not for Cleaning

"My nephew loves his new placemat, but my sister says the design easily scrubs off...that doesn't make much sense for a placemat for kids. So, I'd recommend it for its fun value, but not so much on its practical use."

"These placemats are really adorable and made of easy to clean (wipe off) flexible plastic. I've been using them about a year and they have held up perfectly! They have been invaluable for my 4 year old twins, who like to fight about everything, including where to sit for meals. No more of that! They like to find their names (early reading!) and happily settle in with no fuss! Of course the map is also an excellent demonstration tool for when they ask "where do potatoes come from?" Where does Grandma live?" etc."

Makes Mealtimes Fun Again

"When I got this my son (then 7 months) was going through a rough time with eating. Maybe it was because his teeth were coming in, but he hated even being in his high chair. When he saw this at his place, he was actually happy to sit down! The design is really bright and fun and catches his attention. (He can't appreciate the States and State Capitals and major landmarks, but I think my husband, who is English, has learned some local geography-haha!)
Plus the back is really cute as well. My son may even like the polka-dotted side better. There are a number of bright colors on a white background. My son loves to hit it as if it were a bongo drum.
The placemat is really easy to clean and has resisted lots of spills already. I definitely recommend this!"

"I bought this place mat for both of my boys and they love it! They love looking for the states at meal time. I really like how it has landmarks that has helped my 4 year old son recognize the state. My only complaint is that it does fade a little after wiping it down a lot, but overall has held up great. It also stays in place while the boys are eating."
