Peaceful bedtime story
Date -August 29, 2008
"This book brings peace to the earliest of readers. The story not only teaches the idea of saying "goodnight", but the alternating color and black and white pages sets a tranquil tone which never fails to put my baby to sleep."

A Must-Have
Date -August 31, 2009
"The repetetive nature and language that is provided in Good Night Moon will create a reader in your child. My son is 2 1/2 and we read it everynight and have since he was born. I am also a teacher and the novelty of this book has not worn off at first grade. A true must-have!"

Best book for young children
Date -August 30, 2009
"We read this book everynight when my son was young. He says, "I like this book and I like looking for the mouse. My two year old loves this book, but he loves the balloon and the moon. We also buy this book for new parents."

Part of our sleep routine
Date -August 18, 2009
"GM is the only book on our 9-month old daughter's bookshelf that she has consistently loved listening to since birth. It doesn't matter whether she's sitting in our laps looking at the illustrations as we read aloud, or if she's in our arms listening to us reciting it from memory as we rock her down for sleep -- she'll calm down as soon as she hears the words "In the great green room, there was a telephone...". Is it the cadence? The rich illustrations? Or pure magic? Dunno but I hope she never grows out of it!"

continues to be a classic
Date -August 18, 2009
"This book continues to be a classic in our library. My 15 month old son has loved this book since he was just a few months old. Now he goes to get it from his shelf and will sit and look at the pages alone or will come cuddle to read together. It's a book I love to give as a gift for others to treasure as well."

Classic children's book!
Date -July 16, 2009
"My 2 year old and I absolutely love this book! She is able to help "read" the book with me because of the rhyming patterns. The author also wrote "runaway bunny" which is a really sweet story and also has a page that has the same bedroom picture from "goodnight moon", with the same bunnies in it. My daughter loves seeing the same characters/setting in it as in goodnight moon."

Must have children's book!
Date -July 8, 2009
"This story is short and sweet and perfect right before bed. We read this story about once a week and my son still loves looking at all the pictures. My husband and I both grew up with this book and it's nice to now be able to read it to our son."

Great book for young children
Date -June 26, 2009
"What a great book that spans the ages! Both my 4 year old and my 2 year old love it and have for years! My 4 year old has heard it so many times that she can accurately "read" it to her baby dolls. Their favorite part is looking for the tiny mouse on each page."

Over-Rated
Date -June 26, 2009
"Yes, Goodnight Moon is a good children's book. It's simply not a great children's book... and certainly not the best one ever written. The illustrations aren't very creative and the story itself is a little bland. This classic gets too much attention and praise for what it really is."

One of our favorites
Date -June 25, 2009
"I started reading this book to my son nightly when he was just a few months old. The nightly routine calmed him and got him ready for a good night's sleep. As he got older, he loved to flip the pages himself and look forward to the pictures he had begun to memorize. Eventually he would 'read' the words to me. Now, I look forward to sharing this classic with our new baby on the way!"

bedtime story
Date -August 1, 2008
"GOODNIGHT MOON has always been the favorite bedtime story for all of my boys. It seems to have a calming effect on the boys. Even though I have memorized the book, I never speed through it because my youngest likes to turn the pages and point to the story as we read. I highly recommend the book--it's a true classic."
