brings back the past
"This Slinky is so much nicer than the light weight plastic versions I have seen. While it still struggles to make it down a whole flight of stairs, it does better than any of the other Slinkies I have purchased. Definitely a nostalgia buy, but worth it."

Just ok
"Our stairs have carpet and it does not work like i remember I think due to the carpet. Son likes to play it like an accordion."

Disappointing

"I ordered this early in the holiday shopping season. It sat in it's original packaging in a dry closet for a month before I pulled it out this week to be wrapped. I decided to take a peek inside the box before wrapping and discovered that it has rust spots all over it! There was even rust residue in the box. I do not want my kids playing with rusty toys so I will be sending this back."

"Good ol' fashion fun! Great stocking suffer. We have no steps but my son enjoys plaing with it. Substantial in weight. Nicer than the plastic versions."

So much fun!
"Doesn't do well on our stairs (and our house was built in the 60's... so it's not a 'new step' problem) but we use a board on an incline and it steps down that just fine! So nice to find something that isn't made of plastic too. :)"

Husband and son love their slinky
"I bought this for my husband, to keep on his desk last christmas. itI doesn't quiet work down our stairs (too deep)... but my one year old loves putting one end to his daddy's ear and putting the other end on his, to hear the cool "noise" it makes."

Old time fun
"This slinky is the real deal. It is so heavy and fun. I got them as stocking stuffers for my two oldest and so far my husband and I have already opened it and tri ed it down the stairs when the kids were asleep! Works great....and also managed to be nostalgic for us old parents! Great gift!"

Fun and durable
"Expecting the same wire or plastic toy that we've tried fropm toy stores/drugstores, my expectations were low. However, this classic is old school and well built! Three boys and three slinkys - no kinks, still cruises down stairs and it was the favorite item in their easter baskets. The adults even had fun. Heavy and well built and still having fun!"

Classics are the best!
"This toy is great for any age. Slide it back and forth in front of a child's eyes... and they are mezmerized! Have it "walk" down the stairs and they giggle for hours!
There's a reason this toy has lasted through the ages. :)"
