Cute, but broken leg
"I think the clock is super cute and my daughter's loved it as a Christmas present, but I noticed after having it for just a couple of weeks that the metal leg had fallen out. It looks like it is supposed to screw back in, but it won't. I haven't gotten the chance to take it back to the store yet, so I'm hoping they will have an easy exchange policy. I love the clock, but would like one that is sturdy and will last a long time!"

Not the Cat's Meow
"My daughter, who loves animals, did not befriend her cat clock. Right out of the box, it sounded like a part was lose. The clock did work when I inserted the batteries. My daughter couldn't stand the ticking sound. These clocks really do tick, and when the meow alarm went off i in the morning, she tried to hide the clock in the towel closet. If your kid is very sensitive to sounds, skip this one.
Note, her twin sister *loves* the owl version. See my other review entitled, "Who? Who wants to wake up?" It is fair to say that a lot depends on the kid. The clocks are very cute, and if you don't need the clock to reliably wake up the child, and your child doesn't mind the ticking and the whooing or meowing or barking or ribbiting or whatever, then the clock can be a cool accessory."

Cute but ours broke!
"We ordered one no longer offered the raccoon. The raccoon is adorable right down to the cute little noise. We originally got it as my son's special potty alarm. My two issues with it its hard to set accurately and one of the feet broke and ours leans to the side."

A True Ticker
"This clock is compact and totally adorable, however it ticks. I know that probably sounds silly, it's a clock after all, but if you have a troublesome sleeper as it is the last thing you need is the tick tock of the second hand on a clock. If that doesn't bother you or your child then I think it's a great buy at a great price but it didn't work for my family."

we LOVE the Dog Alarm clock!
"My oldest son received the Dog clock as a Christmas gift from Grandparents. We love this product and so does he. It makes such a cute addition to his room and adds a bit of retro flair while still keeping it looking like a kid-zone. I also love the fact that there is no cord (yes, I know batteries can get spendy, but we really haven't had to replace too many) because who needs another cord laying around??? I am in love w/ this clock and will be asking the Gparents for a Frog one for my youngest this Christmas. Great job Land of nod!"

Lifelike Animal Sounds, Great clock!
"I bought both the puppy clock and raccoon clock for my boys. I came home one afternoon to find the alarm --it was factory set-going off in the house. I thought it was an animal!! :) Imagine my surprise when I realized it was coming from the clock! That said, the clock's durability is great--my two boys have dropped it and tossed it and it still runs beautifully. And they love the barking dog and the chipper and yap of the raccoon clock when they wake up. They wake up smiling and giggling each day."

Overall a really great clock!
"We have one of the green frog clocks and the little guy loves it! The only thing that would make this clock better is for the battery compartment to be attached to the back of the clock with screws (the cover occasionally comes off) and for the numbers on the clock to glow in the dark (kind of hard to see what time it is when you wake up in the middle of the night). The clock makes a great "ribbit, ribbit" sound too (wish *my* alarm clock was so clever!). Overall, great idea made into a great item."

Alarmed at the sound
"After reading all of the glowing reviews, I was really excited to buy this for my son who started Kindergarten this week. The clock is well made and very cute, but I expected that the alarm sound would be a cute puppy bark. The dog bark/alarm sound is more like that of a VERY LOUD "junk yard" dog, which may be what some kids need to wake up. I found it to be an extremely unpleasant sound to wake up to. Haven't heard the other clocks, but maybe they have a nicer sound. It would be nice if LON gave a sound bite to listen to before you buy. Love everything else bought on LON."

Broken Alarm Clock
"The alarm clock is adorable, but it does not work. When you set it and turn on the alarm, it barks, and barks, and barks. Either I don't know how to set an alarm, or it is not working. I hope that the exchange process will not be difficult."

Can't Sleep Through This Alarm
"The alarm is loud and there is no volume control, but the kids love it. My son plays with it like a toy and it has fallen on furniture and the hardwood floors - it takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'!"

Cat Dreams
"I bought this for my 7 year old daughter just in time for school to start. Her 17 year old sister heard the cat alarm go off and fell into a crazy dream of a cat with big eyes who wouldn't stop meowing no matter what she did. The good news was it woke them both up and my 7 year old is in love with her new alarm clock...the first one she's ever had. The colors and sounds are the best."

"We got this clock for our 2.5yo son and he loves it. It's adorable, kind of big and loud, but he loves it. He likes it so much it's in our play bin and not his room...maybe one day it will make it back to his dresser."

Cute clock
