"Hi, I purchased this chair when our son was 9 months old, he has now graduated from college and we still use this chair every day. We have moved 8 times, lived in 3 different countries and this chair has been a useful part of our life in every location and phase. The chair is super sturdy and makes a great extra seat to pull up to the table, or as a step stool for years to come."

Simply the best!

"My 5 year old twins are using these every day (meals, homework, arts & crafts) since they were 6 months old. My baby (8 months old) is using her chair for all the meals and as a hangout spot when I work in the kitchen and she just wants to see me. I (130 lbs) use the chairs when I pay bills, feed the baby and so on. Originally we wanted something to match our existing furniture and compact and these exceeded our expectations. We liked the idea of the babies sitting at the table with us and learning to share a meal with a family."

Best High Chair Ever!!!!

"We have two Trip Traps, one is over thirty years old and has had a lot of abuse over the years, but has held up well. We had a second Trip Trap, because my older son was not willing to give his up. We love that the kids are right at the table with us and that they can use it for so long. A great investment that will be around for years."

great meals
Date - October 23, 2009
"My daughter had been complaining of her legs going numb after a nice, long family meal. When I realized her legs were always dangling I began my search for a chair with foot support. Found this, bought a second for my baby, and now have long, happy meals! It really does make a difference and is worth the money."

excited then disappointed
Date - October 20, 2009
"I was so excited to get this chair but found it hard to use and not functional for my child. The chair is beautiful and would be perfect for an older toddler and preschooler. I wanted it for my 12 month old. I don't like that it doesn't have a tray. I found that it was hard to adjust the straps and the height. I didn't like how the base stood out as we were always tripping over it. Again. I think that it is perfect for a toddler/preschooler to sit at the table."

Great for older toddlers

"We used this chair once my son was old enough to climb up on it on his own. He was eating out of a plate (vs. off a tray) and didn't need to be strapped in for safety. For this use, I rate it highly. I don't like thos for a baby because the straps are really hard to move. FYI...the padded seat cover isn't necessary and is only one more thing to wash. We actually stopped using the one we have!"

A true believer, slightly disappointed
Date - June 20, 2009
"I was so excited about getting and using this chair, and I can honestly say that until my daughter started finger foods I was thrilled with it. It takes up precious little space in our cramped Manhattan apartment, it is not a punishment to look at like those big plastic behemoths, and I looked forward to sitting at the table and marking my daughter's development well into the future with this chair.
Then came finger foods. Yes, I purchased the $90 Stokke tray (a total waste because it moves if you breathe on it, let alone if you pound on it like an average toddler), and we tried feeding her both with and without it. I didn't know before we got here, but at this age they really need a tray to work out feeding themselves, though I think/hope it is a short phase.
Now we have to buy another expensive high chair for the interim before we can go back to using this one. Oy. Also, could the straps on the harness be any more difficult to adjust? I love the theory behind this chair, I'm just disappointed that it hasn't panned out for us as well as I'd hoped."

Cool modern high chair
Date - June 6, 2009
"I like that this high chair will grow with your child my son has used it since is was six months old and he will be able to use it till he is a 6 or 7 year old. It is easy to put together and to adjust to your growing child. The floor around your toddler will get pretty messy since there is no tray. I have a small house so I also like its space saving design."

"We love this highchair for its design! It looks really cool and takes up very little space. Our little guy loves to be able to sit up high now that we have this! I like that there are so few pieces so that it's easy to keep VERY clean."

Best High Chair Ever!!!
Date - November 11, 2008
"Gollie... this chair is the best! I rec'd this product at my baby shower and was thrilled! At first I was a little apprehensive of the chair, but found out that it was totally amazing. Love the features and the ability to travel with it, the adjustable seat and footrest is amazing with our table. Now it feels that our son is part of the family, yeah. Everything about this product is above and beyond my dreams. The craftsmanship is the best I have seen in many years! The chair is safe and reliable too! The product is one of my favorites that we have in our home. We will continue to use this product and most likely give it to other relatives once we are finished using it. But then again, I don’t know if we ever will be.
Thanks for a great reliable chair, my son loves it."

Love it!
Date - October 23, 2008
"This is the only high chair that we have purchased. We get loads of compliments on the appearance and we like that she sits at the table with us. My only 2 complaints: 1) I find it difficult to get all of the food particles from the springs on the seat (that hold the baby rail) but I suspect it is still easier than a typical high chair that has many more nooks and crannies. 2) Sometimes I think that she would stay cleaner if there were a tray to prevent little hands from painting food on herself. This has been less of an issue now that she is older. I am a little jealous that the baby rails are color coordinated this year!"

"My son is now 7 months old and has been sitting in this high chair since he was 5 months old. We love it and more importantly he loves it. He loves being at the same table as us and it is easy to clean and as an added bonus it looks great. Also it will not add to the landfill problem as it grows with your child and does not need to be discarded. If you have problems putting it together just call Stokke and they will guide you through the process."

"I love this chair! My son is going to be seven in a couple of months and still uses his chair. We loved it so much that we bought a second chair when our daughter was born. Every child that comes to our house will automatically sit in this chair. It's even sturdy enough for adults. It grows with your child and I can't imagine not having one for my extremely independent toddler. Don't hesitate, it's so much more versatile then the run-of-the-mill plastic high chair, not to mention space saving!"

Great Purchase - Important Hints
Date - June 5, 2008
"We purchased this high chair for our 17 month old son so he could eat at the same table as us. One thing to note is that this highchair is designed for use with a table 28-30" high. Ours is a little higher so he's in the top position now and his elbows hit the table. The manual says his elbows should rest right above the top of the table. This was really easy to put together in about a 1/2 hour and I am 9 months pregnant. It looks like it is really short but it is perfect when you put your kid in. Make sure you have someone there to help hold your child (depending on the age) while you get the seat and footrest placement correct. It is easy for the entire board to slide out if you have a squirmmy kid. After you figure out where the boards go in the slots then you have to find out where to adjust it back and forth so it hits in the right places all while your kid is on it and then you tighten up 8 screws to secure it. Goo Gone worked perfectly and did not damage the wood to get the GIGANTIC warning label off the top backrest and another sticker off of the L shaped side piece."

The Best Highchair Ever
Date - June 3, 2008
"We own three of these chairs, one for each kid. I have never owned a traditional highchair or booster seat. My oldest is six now and has been using this chair since she was 7 months old. Once your baby can sit up on their own they can sit in this chair, at the table, with no yucky tray to try and clean off after they eat. People always ask me about these chairs when they come to our house."

"I absolutely LOVE the tripp trapp high chair... assembly was simple (I did it without my husband's help, in less than 15 minutes)... and our little Ella loves it. The quality is great, and I love the fact that I won't need to buy a booster chair later."

"This chair may cost more than other high chairs, but you'll find yourself purchasing this char in leiu of high chairs, boosters, etc.
Our daughter used this chair since she was 6 months to now over 3 years old. We love the design, it ties nicely with our furniture, and most importantly, your child can eat at the table with you. It fosters and promotes family interaction.
We have since bought a second one for our new baby."
