Smart Buy
"We started making baby food in the baby cook the same time she started eating baby food, at about 6 months. It perfectly steams then purees your fresh or frozen food and you can store 1-2Tbl portions in an ice cube tray, muffin tin or the freezer tray sold separately. She never had to eat store baby-food with its preservatives and expensive jars; plus she was exposed to textures earlier because you can control how much water you add. I recommend it to all my friends and to Momma's in the office who ask about making baby food."

Not practical
"We own this, and I never took it out of the box. I'm going to try to re-sell it. It never made sense to use this because it only makes small quantities, and I feel that you are better off with a regular food processor so large batches of food can be made and frozen, rather than wasting time on small portions. This is one of those cool gadgets that really doesn't make sense to buy. I agree with the reviewer who wrote about its short life cycle."

the wonder blender
"who knew that making baby food would be so easy?!? Why does anyone buy the ready-made? The Beaba Babycook blends the food perfectly. The steamer is a bit slow but gets the job done. Organic, homemade food coming right up!"

Love my BabyCook!
"I bought my BabyCook when my youngest started eating solid foods. It made making homemade baby food so much easier than the stovetop method! My youngest is now 4 and I still use my BabyCook regularly. Not only is it wonderful for making baby food, it's also great as a small food processor."

Short lifespan of use for babies
"If only babies ate pureed/steamed foods forever! I loved this item for the first few months of baby food, but now find its only purpose is to steam up carrots in a pinch. With that being said, it makes the best/sweetest steamed carrots around! Save your money and buy the accompanying storage containers instead - I still use those all the time!"

Used it everyday
"I used this everyday for the irate six months of solids. The steam works really great. The blending could be stronger, if you don't have enough liquid or it's too full it's hard when you get into chunkier foods and textures. I wish it wasn't made of plastic as it doesn't feel as sturdy as I would like but it was fine. I still use it to steam finger food veggie wedges at almost a year old."

More of a pain
"I like the idea of this but honestly, steaming + using the baby bullet is WAY easier. I found my Beaba leaked a lot ... and it doesn't fit a lot of food so you can't make huge quantities."

Nice all in one device!
"I made all of my sons baby food with this machine and it really made it easy. It does it all! The only down side - is the bowl is very very small - so if you are trying to make food in bulk and freeze (which is what I always did), then you have to do multiple rounds of cooking and blending. But other than that, it really does make it easy - PLUS it is so nice to make your own baby food (and much healthier)....!"

TEN STARS
"this is the SINGLE BEST piece of baby equipment I have ... I make all my baby's food in this little machine so he eats all home made, fresh foods ... cleanup is super easy. And the machine is not an eyesore on my countertop"

Use it all the time
"I purchased this when my daughter was 6 months old and I still use it on a weekly basis now that she's 15 months old. I made almost all of her baby food when she was still eating pureed food and it was so cost effective and nutritious (side note: "baby cubes" work the best for storing the homemade food). Now I cut up and steam vegetables for her in this and it takes no time at all. If I could afford to give this as a baby gift I would give it to all of my new mama friends."

Awesome!
"I went back and forth on whether I really needed this to make baby food, especially when I wasn't sure how much I would make. I am so glad I decided to get this! It makes it so easy and fast to make the food, and cleanup is a breeze. Can't imagine being without it now!"

Know what your baby is eating
"We love our BabyCook! I recommend it to all new moms. It's nice to know exactly what's going into your little one's tummy and to be able to adjust it to their needs and tastes. My youngest is just over 2 years old now and we're no longer using the BabyCook for baby food, but we've found plenty of other uses for it!"

Well worth it
"I wasn't sure about spending the money on this as I thought I could just steam and puree the food with other kitchen items. My friend told me I was crazy so we went ahead and spent the money and I'm soooo happy we did. So easy to use makes perfect baby food and I only have one container to wash afterwards. Best part since it's a self contained unit I can turn it on and then go play with baby, rather than constantly watching like I would have had to on the stove."

Very convenient baby food maker
"We received this as a gift and, on the whole, I love it. I can easily make baby food and know what I'm giving my daughter. On the negative side, it does what a food processor and microwave does so it's a bit extraneous. But it makes life a bit easier and with two kiddos every little bit of help is great."

Great for making toddler meals
"I received this when I started my 6 month old on solid food, but I found it a little impractical at that point. It was much easier to make larger batches of vegetables and fruits once a week in a steam basket and puree in a larger food processor rather than make the small amount this held.
Now that he's 15 months old, this is perfect for making dinner for him on days when he can't or won't eat our main family meal - I can put frozen vegetables and chicken in this, turn it on, and it's perfectly cooked, no fuss, in about 12 minutes. I'm glad I gave it another try!"

Compact and easy to use
"I've been using this for a few weeks now as my daughter just started on solids. I've purchased fresh fruits and vegetables from our local farmers market and steamed and pureed them. She's loving what I've made so far, and I've loved that I can do it all in one easy-to-use cooker. Yes, you could easily make your own baby food using things you probably already have in your kitchen. But this has been nice because it is a lot less to clean up, it's compact, and it really works well."
