excellent names and creatures
Date - May 8, 2008
"Our little one loves to play with these, building towers and knocking them down. She also loves it when we read her the names of the children and creatures on each block. But we didn't know there was a bird called an X-Foot-Gigantis -(there isn't!)."

An Updated Classic
Date - May 7, 2008
"I bought the Alphabet Blocks and had them sent to my first grandchild who lives far away. When I recently visited her, I was able to see her enjoy her new blocks. I was impressed with the "old fashioned" quality of wood blocks, the sound of the wood blocks as they are tapped together and especially appreciated the multi-ethnic names on the blocks such as Omar, Ziyi, and Gordo."

Great Blocks

"Beautiful blocks. Purchased them for my 1 year old son but quickly realized that they are better for older children...those who will not throw them. He is now 2.5 years old and loves them!"

Quality Wood Blocks
Date - May 7, 2008
"These timeless blocks are a hit with both my 1 and 2yr olds. They are tough and sturdy and have resisted chipping or dents. With the rough play they receive quite frequently they still look new. I also like how the pictures coordinate with the letter on the block and the number coordinates with the alphabet sequence. Believe it or not, it was difficult for me to find blocks that had letters and pictures that started with that letter; it made no sense to my why anyone would put a picture of an umbrella on a 'G' block or why a capital 'G' would be paired with a lowercase 'X'. Beyond just the product quality, these were the only blocks that made sense to me to utilize as a learning tool."

A classic hit for all ages.
Date - May 6, 2008
"I bought these blocks for my twins when they were still babies and now that they're 4 years old they still love playing with them all the time. They line up the blocks in alphabetical order, numerical order and make block towers. I can't believe how many years of fun and education we've gotten out of this classic toy!"

Nice blocks, but...
Date - May 6, 2008
"We have fun playing with these blocks they are colorful and creative with their little characters. The only complaint I have is on the "U" block, the've spelled ukulele incorrect. I would not expect that when I spent over $50 for them."
Response from The Land of Nod:By Customer ServiceFebruary 11, 2009
Nod Note: Ukelele is an Americanism of the original spelling for Ukulele. We're not sure who decided that the change was a good one, but it occurred some time around 1895. Our guess is that it was a phonetic spelling as no one we know pronounces this four-stringed instrument oo-koo-ley-ley as the Hawaiians do.

"We actually have two sets of these. Someone gave us the second set with our second child - and I was happy to add the new ones to our well used old ones. They are durable wooden blocks with the classic decorations of numbers and letters, as well as cute decorations of names and animals or items matching the block's letter. Other moms often ask me where we got such nice/sweet blocks."

Best Blocks on the Block!
Date - April 13, 2008
"We love these blocks. We purchased them for our daughter when she turned one and she is still playing with them at 2 1/2! We spell words, make (and knock over) towers, and count. They come in a great little bag & when she's finally done playing with them, they'll turn into a keepsake toy that she can share with her children. Love it!"
