"Love this bench! My husband picked it and I was reluctant at first since I only like vintage and antique furniture. However I am very happy with this bench. The best part is, since my baby started crawling, she crawls to the books and toys we have on display on the shelf so now I keep all of her current toys and books there and she crawls over and grabs what she wants to play with. And when I put it all away, it looks organized!"

"I purchased this for my 2 1/2 year old son's bedroom with the red ticking cushion and basket underneath. Basket is great for socks and underwear, and we put it next to his bed and its great for stuffed animals or books. great alternative to a nightstand, and well made."

"This is perfect system for younger children -- easy to access books, no way to pull it over, you can use the top as a second shelf for baskets rather than a bench. And it's handsome. We have a second one behind the family room couch."

"I ordered two of these benches (one for our daughter's room & one for mine & my husband's) to use as bookcases. The benches are great - very attractive, sturdy & there's lots of storage space. We got the pink/white cushion for our daughter's bench & it's really pretty. One of the benches had a damaged leg; I called Land of Nod & they sent me a prepaid FedEx mailing label so we could return the damaged bench & they also immediately sent a new bench, which arrived in perfect condition. I called FedEx & they are picking the bench up today. The Land of Nod is a great company to deal with - their customer service is exemplary."

A keepsake for years

"I really love this bench. Right now we use it for our sons book collection and it sits right next to his bed. We sit there just before bed time to read to him. I look forward to using it for my other children in the future. It would also would be great as an accent piece anywhere else in the house after they grow out of it."

"I bought this bench for my mudroom and love it! I have three boys and it is perfect for them to sit on to get their shoes on and for backpacks after school! I love the storage underneath - each one has their own basket for shoes, cleats, etc. - I would definitely recommend this!!"

"We use this bench in our entryway along with the beadboard 5-peg shelf and it is the perfect pair. A basket on the bench shelf holds hats, mittens, etc. and the bench is the perfect place to sit while putting on shoes or for guests to set their things on while they're here. The only thing is we use it without a cushion so the top gets little marks on it sometimes, though they do wash right off."

"As a grandparent, this bench has been one of my best furniture purchases. It doubles in our guest room as a bench for guests to place their luggage as well as toy storage/seating for my granddaughters. It is extremely sturdy and well built. The stripe cushion easily ties in with decor in both the guest room, den, and kictchen areas. It was priced less than other similar pieces and, at the same time, was of better quality."

The greatest bench ever!

"I bought this bench for my 3-year-old son's room. We have it next to his bed, and it works great to store bedtime books (and to sit on to read to him). Since it's the same height as his bed, it also helped him get used to his "big boy bed" because he was no longer worried about falling out of bed. Others have asked us where we found it and assumed it was an antique, particularly with the retro cowboy-print cushion we added. A great purchase!"

"I placed this at the top of our stairs under a window and everynight while I cook dinner my kids are sitting on it and by it reading books. I love the pop of color when I go up the steps. Lots of room for mommy too."
