Great Mattress Pad
"After searching for a crib mattress pad that was organic (no polyester, polyurethane, etc), I came across this one from Naturepedic. We have the Naturepedic mattress as well. It fits the mattress very well and is a nice heavy material. Have not had any problems with washing it, very happy with this purchase!"

Great Mattress Pad
"I have two of these pads and appreciate that they are organic, not filled with polyester, are well made, and wash up well. It's basically a thick canvas material that serves as a barrier. Very well made. Unlike the other reviewer, I did not have an issue with washing it in my machine (which says a lot, because my machine is always getting thrown off balance!). I highly recommend this product."

Too hard on washing machine
"I was so excited to buy this product because it is organic. However, it was impossible for me to actually use. I tried it a few times, but when it was time to wash it, it got so heavy with water in the wash that no matter what I put into the wash with it, it knocked my washer off balance and it had to be fixed each time (top-loading spacesaver with only 3 pins). So the product ended up being my most expensive, useless baby product. Also, I realized that because I got the nice polyurethane coated Naturepedic No-Compromise™ Organic Cotton Ultra 252 Crib Mattress (sold by LON), I didn't actually need a pad at all. It just wipes clean and no liquids penetrate the mattress."

washing machine problems

Those washing machines must be unusual. I've never seen that problem when reading other reviews. Perhaps they would allow you to return the pad since it isn't usable for you.
