Not what I expected
"Obviously, this is a children's book so I don't expect it to have an elaborate plot, but I wish there was more to the story. It is cute and colorful and helpful for teaching colors and the various types of train cars to children. As a parent, I find it a bit of a bore to read. It simply names each car and color, then talks about where the train goes (by cities, over trestles).. then ends. It wasn't quite what I expected as I was hoping for a story about a train with perhaps a lesson to be learned. Not the case, but I am happy to have it as part of our book collection."

Perfect BABY book
"This train book is great for a baby and while a 4 year old might enjoy it, I can't imagine it being appropriate for many 8 year olds. My son loves trains and likes to read this book- he's 1."

Lovely Illustrations
"I love the art-deco style of the illustrations. It creates a wonderful sense of movement. As always, I prefer board books for their durability with toddlers--they like being able to turn the pages themselves!"

Great Train Book
"My 3 year old loves this book. Not only has it helped him with his colors, he also knows the proper names for parts of a freight train.
My son says "Read it, it's fun.""
