"I live in California so we don't have any brick and mortar Land of Nod stores here. But when I saw this unique bassinet in the catalog I immediately ordered it just prior to the birth of my first child. When it arrived and my husband set it up, I was simply thrilled by how beautiful this it was. And when I actually used it for my baby, I found this bassinet to be very useful, practical., and cozy for my baby. Two kids later, this bassinet is still just as sturdy and good-looking as ever. The bedding is simple and elegant, and has held up nicely after many launderings. Now that my second baby has outgrown this bassinet and moved on to a crib, I must pack it away in the garage but I hope to save it for my future grandchildren!"

"I bought this gorgeous bassinet for my future sister-in-law. I thought it was gorgeous when I first saw it online, and only regretted that I hadn't found it earlier when my daughter had my first grandchild a few months earlier.
When I went to visit Jennifer and the new baby, I was absolutely amazed at the quality, and the absolute beauty of this bassinet. I have never found nor seen anything even close to the absolute pristine quality that this bassinet is. I was even elated more when I realized that the top comes off easily and we could carry Trace around to be with us in any room we went; then it went on just as easily as it came off. It is very securely made with no worries your baby will be in any danger! I absolutely love this bassinet!
The only bassinets I have found with such beauty and quality are the ones made in a long lost era. My Grandfather has his high chair and was used by his mother. A chair made in the early 1800's is still in beautiful condition and very well made. The beauty, and equality of quality that this bassinet has, is definitely something you will wish to pass along to your children and keep in the family.
My daughter is expecting another baby, and I can not wait for this beauty to sit in her house to caudal and rock my new grandchild!"

"We registered for and received this bassinet for our baby shower. We just love it. It is quite sturdy and offers a good deal of space for baby. Our son was quite comfortable sleeping for the first three months. It is so beautifully crafted that we've kept it up in his room and adorned it with his favorite stuffed animals."

"With the anticipation of our third child, we decided that we needed our own bassinet because we were unsatisfied with the quality of the others that we had previously borrowed. After searching everywhere, the Land of Nod's Bassinet was exactly what I had in mind. I was an experienced mother, and, I knew what was necessary and what wasn't. The basket lifts off of the base so that it can be used as a moses basket, which provided the convenience of moving the baby from room to room. The basket is roomy enough that he was able to remain in it until he was about four months old, despite being in the 90th percentile for length. The ability to rock the bassinet was helpful on those first nights when he had trouble sleeping on his own. In fact, he slept through the night at only seven weeks old, which I attribute to the comfort, proximity, and gentle motion that we were able to take advantage of with this bassinet. Most importantly, it allowed me to keep my baby close by and supported the establishment of breastfeeding. In truth, I love its heirloom quality. It looks even more fabulous in person than online. (I cried when I pulled it out of the box to put it together. It's hard to be as sentimental about hand-me-downs with the third child.) I know that I can lay another babe to sleep in it someday or perhaps allow my grandchildren to sleep in it. It is so lovely that even though my infant moved to a crib, I have been somewhat reluctant to store it away. It was worth every penny. I only wish that I had it with my first two, instead of the smaller bassinets that I borrowed. Having used a variety of bassinets, I would recommend this one over any other on the market. As an experienced mother, practicality must prevail. It is so splendid to have something that works as lovely as it looks."

"I purchased this bassinet in the spring of 2007 and our baby slept in it for the first three months of his life. This is an excellent quality product--the woven material has a smooth finish with no splits or breaks. I think it could last through several babies in this generation and be passed down to future generations of the family. In addition, the compact size fit easily into our smallish master bedroom, and the hood kept the baby's eyes shaded when we turned a bedside lamp on in the middle of the night to check on him. The product is lower to the ground than some other bassinets I considered, and when I first set it up I thought it looked like a toy bassinet for dolls. However, I got used to the height and my 6'5" husband didn't think it was a problem to bend down to get the baby in. We have had many compliments from friends and family on this beautiful bassinet."

"This is a great little bassinet for a very special baby. I purchased it to keep as an heirloom. It has served me well, long into 6 months age range. I only have one complaint. The storage compartment and bassinet is a little too short for me. I kept my diapers and extras in a seperate piece of furniture. The bottom rung is a bit inconvenient."

"This is a beautifull bassinet that would remind you of something from the olden days. The bedding washed really nice and is very soft for the baby. I would however recommend that the pad for the bassinet be thicker. I had to order a custom one for the bassinet because it is very flimsy and thin."

"This bassinet is absolutely lovely--it is a "new" family heirloom. Before our baby is born we have it set up in the living room and it just brings a wonderful calm over the place--waiting for its rightful princess.
The quality is superior, it was relatively easy to put together, all pieces made of natural materials, including the 100% cotton bedding.
The fact that it is also an old-fashioned rocker makes it just perfect--as does the fact that the basket can be used like a moses basket all around the house so baby is close to you always.
My only disappointment is that the bumper's pretty star pattern faces outward and hence doesn't show through the basket. The stars should face inward so they can be seen by all viewers.

"The bassinet was one of my favourite purchases for my daughter. We needed somewhere safe and comfortable to lay her to sleep in the family room. Being an interior designer I also wanted something aesthetically pleasing and did not want a multi-coloured pack n' play or any old boring bassinet. This met all our requirements (and our daughter's who slept in there quite comfortably). I've grown so attached to the piece that it actually still sits in our family room even though my daughter is 8 months old! The bedding is gorgeous and elegant and the overall quality is superb. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great bassinet."

"I love the bassinet, it beautiful and is the only thing my son will sleep in (other than Mom and Dad's arms). My only issue was with the assembly. I was reduced to tears (note I was postpartum). Land of Nod did send another base (again unable to put together). Between the parts from the 2 bases they sent I was able to get a bassinet together. Once I finally had it put together I was thrilled with the bassinet."
