Perfect, sturdy lamp
"This is a sturdy, flexible lamp. It's on the small side, which is perfect for our kids' bedroom. Allows both "close up" light when it's down and more ambient light when we direct towards the ceiling."

just what I was looking for!!
"This is a great lamp that we are using as a reading lamp by my son's bed. Space is an issue so I didn't want to get a bedside stand plus a reading lamp!! It's base is sturdy and lamp is easy for my 5 year-old to adjust & also turn on and off."
